Why Pembrokeshire is Great for Groups, Couples & Solo Travellers
Comments Off on Why Pembrokeshire is Great for Groups, Couples & Solo TravellersHaving lived in Pembrokeshire for many, many years, we often get asked what makes this part of the UK so special. And the honest answer is that it’s hard to put into words, however once you’ve experienced it, you understand it.
There’s something about the pace of life here that feels different. Slower, calmer, and more connected to the natural world. Whether you’re visiting as a large group of family and friends, or simply looking for a quiet escape as a couple or on your own, Pembrokeshire has a way of giving you exactly what you need.
Something for everyone!
For large group holidays, it’s the space and freedom that stand out. Long coastal walks, shared meals, beach days and evenings spent together watching the light fade over the sea. These are the moments that bring people closer. There’s no rush here, no pressure to fill every minute. Just time to enjoy being together.
At the same time, Pembrokeshire is just as special for couples and solo travellers. We’ve welcomed many guests over the years who simply needed to step away from the noise of everyday life. Here, it’s easy to unwind. A quiet morning with a sea view, a walk along the coast path, or simply sitting and watching the waves roll in can be enough to reset and recharge.

One of the things we’ve always loved — and still do — is the ever-changing weather. It’s part of Pembrokeshire’s charm. You might wake up to mist rolling over the bay, enjoy sunshine by midday, and finish the day with a dramatic sunset over the sea. It keeps the landscape alive and constantly shifting, making every visit feel a little different.
Our self-catering cottages at Coastal Holidays Pembrokeshire are designed to make the most of this incredible setting. Finished to a 5-star standard, they offer comfort, space and a true home-from-home feel. Both properties enjoy stunning sea views over Newgale Beach and St Brides Bay, which means you’re never far from the beauty of the coast.
Being dog-friendly, we’re always delighted to welcome four-legged guests too. After all, Pembrokeshire is just as much their playground with wide sandy beaches, open countryside and coastal paths to explore.
What we love most about what we do is sharing this place with others. Over the years, we’ve seen guests arrive tired and leave refreshed, return year after year, and fall in love with Pembrokeshire just as we have.
If you’re looking for a destination that offers both adventure and tranquillity, space and simplicity, we can’t recommend it enough.
